About the Grandma Glow Up

At Greenberg Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology, we are proud to offer age-positive plastic surgery options such as the Grandma Glow Up. The Grandma Glow Up is a combination of different procedures designed to restore a more youthful appearance in older women while maintaining their natural grace. These procedures are primarily focused on reducing or tightening excess skin and restoring lost volume. By addressing multiple areas of the body during the same appointment, patients can undergo a comprehensive transformation in a reduced amount of time, resulting in a full-body revitalization.

What’s Included in the Grandma Glow Up Package?

Much like a mommy makeover for women who want to rejuvenate their body after pregnancy and childbirth, many different procedures can be included in the Grandma Glow Up package, each chosen to target a different concern. Some of the procedures we may recommend for cosmetic surgery for women over 60 or 50 include:

  • Facelift: A facelift, also known as a rhytidectomy, is a procedure designed to help reposition and lift sagging facial skin and fat to restore more youthful contours. We perform a natural facelift for women over 50, focusing on less invasive techniques to achieve a more subtle-but-impactful enhancement.
  • Neck Lift: A neck lift can be to one’s treatment plan to help address sagging neck skin or jowls, leaving patients with a more slender, elegant neck. This is often combined with a facelift.
  • Eyelid Surgery: Eyelid surgery, also referred to as a blepharoplasty, can help brighten and refresh tired eyes, restoring a more alert and awake appearance.
  • Breast Lift: The breast tissue and nipple-areolar complex can be physically repositioned to restore a more desirable contour in the chest during a breast lift after menopause.
  • Breast Reduction: By eliminating excess breast tissue with a breast reduction, patients can alleviate any discomfort or pain caused by enlarged breasts while receiving a natural-looking lift as well.
  • Liposuction: Liposuction helps contour areas of the body by using suction technology to eliminate stubborn fat cells.
  • Tummy Tuck: A tummy tuck is a procedure that removes excess tissue from the abdomen, while also repairing the abdominal muscles, if necessary, to enhance one’s overall figure.
  • Non-Surgical Enhancements: We offer a multitude of minimally invasive treatment options, such as dermal fillers, Botox, and other skin treatments to help enhance each patient’s appearance.

Whether you’re celebrating a milestone birthday, preparing for a special event, or simply want to feel your best — it’s never too late to invest in yourself! Schedule your consultation today to learn how our Grandma Glow Up package can help you refresh your appearance at any age, so that you can look as youthful as you feel.

Why Choose Plastic Surgery in Your 50s, 60s, and Beyond?

As we age, the collagen levels in our skin decline, leading to an overall loss of skin elasticity. This, along with the effects of gravity, can cause drooping or sagging skin, as well as the appearance of fine lines, creases, and wrinkles. Plastic surgery for women over 60 is designed to help restore a more youthful appearance while taking into account the specific considerations of one’s age and medical history. (1) With Dr. Greenberg’s vast surgical experience and knowledge, women can comfortably refresh their appearance at any age.

Why Choose a Grandma Glow Up?

Many benefits can be enjoyed after undergoing a Grandma Glow Up, including:

  • Customized to Your Unique Goals: This procedure treats multiple areas of the body at once, leaving patients with transformative, full-body results.
  • Subtle, Natural-Looking Results: We use techniques that create subtle but impactful results, allowing patients to enjoy a natural look. These procedures are designed to enhance confidence — not erase character!
  • Surgical and Nonsurgical Options: Patients can choose to include a mixture of both surgical and nonsurgical treatments in their plan for enhanced rejuvenation.
  • Restored Breast Shape: A Grandma Glow Up can help lift, augment, or reduce the size of the breasts, restoring a more youthful-looking appearance and contour.
  • A Flatter, Toned Abdomen: Liposuction can be used to help permanently eliminate stubborn deposits of fat, while a tummy tuck can help patients achieve a slimmer and tighter-looking abdomen.
  • Long-Lasting Results: The results of a Grandma Glow Up are long-lasting, with some patients experiencing effects for up to a decade or longer.
  • More Convenient Recovery: By receiving multiple treatments at once, patients will only need to undergo a single recovery period. This makes the overall recovery quicker in comparison to if these procedures were performed separately. (2)

To schedule your personal consultation and receive your customized treatment plan, please call (844) 568-6717 or contact us online.

Virtual consultations are also offered for out-of-state and international patients.

Preparation

You can expect to receive a set of preoperative instructions at your consultation to prepare for your Grandma Glow Up. You may be asked to temporarily refrain from the use of certain medications and supplements, most notably those with blood-thinning properties. The use of nicotine should also be ceased several weeks before the appointment. Additionally, you may be asked to get lab testing to ensure you are ready for your procedure.

Logistically, time away from work and other social commitments should be prearranged, as should transportation home after the procedure. You should also arrange for assistance around the house for the first several days of recovery. Any medication prescriptions should also be filled ahead of time.

Customizing Your Glow Up: Surgical + Non-Surgical Options

The best plastic surgery for older women includes procedures that restore a more youthful-looking appearance while maintaining the elegance of aging. This is why our Grandma Glow Up is fully customizable, offering both surgical and non-surgical treatment options that can be included in each patient’s procedure. A few of our included surgical options include a tummy tuck, breast lift, or reduction, as well as a necklift, while some of our non-surgical options include a non-surgical facelift, Botox, and dermal fillers. Dr. Greenberg will recommend a combination of multiple procedures depending on the concerns each patient is looking to address.

Recovery

Following a Grandma Glow Up, you should take time away from work and other social commitments to focus on resting. It can be helpful to arrange assistance for the first several days of healing as well.

It is normal to experience bruising or swelling during the initial recovery. Any discomfort can be managed through prescribed pain relief. Depending on the procedures performed, you may need to wear a compression garment to help minimize swelling and protect and support your new figure. Physical exercise and other strenuous activities should be avoided until your surgeon advises you that it is safe to resume.

We may ask that you return for follow-up appointments so that our team can monitor your recovery. Further recovery guidelines will be provided to you at your consultation.

Results

After your Grandma Glow Up, you will be able to enjoy a more sculpted figure and defined contours. Depending on the treatments performed, you may experience a more refreshed, alert appearance around the eyes in addition to a reduction in fine lines, creases, and wrinkles. Excess sagging skin can also be removed or repositioned in various areas. Patients who undergo a Grandma Glow Up often experience an improvement in self-esteem and confidence, with a look that reflects their youthful energy. The results of a Grandma Glow Up are long-lasting, offering benefits that can be enjoyed for years.
